What does "deb said no" mean?
When I was trying to think up a name for my blog, I wanted something that didn't have much meaning to most people so that I could make this blog into anything I wanted.
In case you haven't noticed, I'm pretty random. I decided on "deb said no" specifcally because it was a silly inside joke between my friend Steph and I. We had always said that if we started a band, we'd call it "deb said no". Given that neither of us has a lot of musical talent, I elected to use our band name for my blog.

What kind of a cat is Maury?
Honestly, I'm not sure. He was a stray found in my friend's building a few years ago. He looks most similar to a Maine Coon, but I suspect he's some sort of a mixture.
