My name is Julie, I'm in my mid-to-late twenties, and I always struggle with what to write in these About Me spaces.
My favorite colour is magenta (but mostly because it's fun to say) and my ringtone has been set to "Don't Stop Believin" for about three years now. The phrase "Deb Said No" is somewhat of a silly joke I have with a friend.
From a young age, I've always loved fashion and beauty. No matter how ill-advised my initial attempts at style might have been (think Donna Martin bangs and lots of matte lipstick), I stuck with it and I like to think maybe I've picked up a trick or two along the way.
I love fashion blogs and magazines, but I find that a lot of the items they feature are (1) way too expensive, (2) not available in Canada, and/or (3) unlikely to look good on anyone who isn't exactly rail thin. Given that I'm a slightly-larger-than-average sized Canadian on a budget... it sometimes doesn't work out so well. I'm hoping that this blog can help other ladies in my shoes (no pun intended) find out about some awesome pieces.
