I had a post all planned out about this new nail polish I found that lasts forever (which in nail polish years means about three days), but when I saw today's daily outfit on WhatIWore, my plans changed.
You see, this is what I wore today:
Tank: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (The Bay) - ON SALE!
Jacket: H&M - ON SALE!
Skirt: H&M
Brown fishnet tights: Hue (The Bay) - ON SALE!
Necklace: H&M
Watch: Fossil (Macy's)
Nail polish: Revlon in Red Hot Tamale (Shopper's Drug Mart)
Pretty weird coincidence, non?
I threw the tank and skirt together in a hurry one night when I was late for a friend's birthday party. I decided I really liked it, so I've worn it in a few different ways since. Yeah, the combination of patterns might be a little different (especially because I'm not normally one for pattern or for colour), but I think it works. The navy blue in each piece ties it together just enough so that it's less "What the heck is she on?" and more "Are those birds on her skirt? I think those are birds..."
As an aside, my team lead was teasing me today about my outfit's nautical theme because we had an "All Hands on Deck" meeting this morning. That coincidence was also unintentional, I promise. However, as a result I've had this song stuck in my head all day:
Sigh. Gord, you're so pretty...
Oh, and that nail polish in the picture? That's the crazy long wearing stuff. More on that later in the week.
